POLICE are investigating a report of suspicious activity in a Herefordshire village.

A man knocked on someone's door in Canon Pyon, enquiring about buying a caravan which was not for sale.

However, when his request was declined, he made an odd remark about the previous occupants. Afterwards, he reversed his car down the street and parked opposite the house.

In light of the incident, Adam Westlake, PCSO for Hereford Rural North, is reminding people about general security tips. 

This includes:

  • Always lock your doors and windows, even when at home
  • Be cautious of strangers asking unusual questions or exhibiting strange behaviour
  •  Report any suspicious activity
