AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car today (February 5).

The police and an ambulance attended at around 9am on the A44 in Bromyard.
A police spokesperson said: "We are currently on scene of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Bromyard, Herefordshire. An 11-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries."
The boy is a pupil at Queen Elizabeth High School. The school sent out a message to parents: "QEHS would like to thank all of pupils this morning for their support in relation to the accident. The pupil is receiving medical care and support."
