AN AUDI driver has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds after be was caught out in a busy Hereford main road with a dodgy tyre.
Vasile Ordeanu was proven guilty of one count of using a passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread by magistrates in January.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 24-year-old, who was not present at the hearing, had been caught out after getting behind the wheel of an Audi A4 in Hereford's Ross Road on July 12.

His Audi was found to have a wheel with a tread below the legal minimum depth of 1.6mm, magistrates in Worcester were told.
Ordeanu, of Bluebell Close, Ross-on-Wye, was fined £440 and received three penalty points on his driving licence for the offence.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £176 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
