FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Herefordshire town after a plastic item was burnt on a hob, causing a fire.

One fire crew from Ledbury was called to Robinson's Meadow in the town at just after 7.30pm last night (January 31).

After the fire was out, a search was carried out by crews using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required.

Crews left the scene at 8pm.
