A TELEGRAPH pole caught fire in Hereford this evening (January 26), causing a road to close and heavy traffic.
Firefighters were called to Barrs Court Road in Hereford and placed a cordon to close the road.

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire Control said: "I can confirm a telegraph pole was on fire on Barrs Court Road.
"The road was closed at the time but we have now come away."
According to Google Maps traffic data, there is heavy traffic on Barrs Court Road and the surrounding area, as of 7pm on January 26.
However, we understand that the road is no longer fully closed.
