A HEREFORDSHIRE cider-maker will feature on a much-loved TV show this weekend.

A perry crafted by Newton Court, based near Leominster, will have a prominent role in this Sunday’s (January 28) episode of Sunday Brunch on Channel Four.

Their ‘panting partridge’ perry will be tasted alongside a cheese pairing in a segment led by cider expert Gabe Cook who will be appearing as a guest.

The starring beverage is a medium organic perry, described as being light in colour, complex in flavour and refreshing to drink. It features a blend of the longdon, hendre huffcap and butt perry pears.

Excitement is already brewing online, with locals heading to social media to express their anticipation.

Sara Hunter said: “Brilliant! I’ll be watching.”

Simon Hayward chimed in, saying: “That's great, looking forward to visiting again in a couple of weeks.”

The episode, hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, will air at 9.30 am and feature a number of professional foodies and celebrities alongside Mr Cook.
