I HAVE visited the cafe at Queenswood for many years and the last 14 years have been especially pleasant.

Professional, friendly staff and good food with a lovely atmosphere (Customers’ dismay at closure of woods cafe, January 18).

Now that the lease on the cafe has been terminated by the Wildlife Trust I am sure that a great many people will feel a sense of loss. So thank you, Les and Zee, and every one of your wonderful staff.

I believe that the Wildlife Trust plan to run the cafe themselves and sincerely hope they will make a better job of it than they have of running Queenswood. I am not holding my breath!

After 14 brilliant years you will be sadly missed.
