A property developer from London has convinced the council that his project warrants flying in the face of their own core strategy of no greenfield building.

Virtually the whole community of Long Lane objected to Mr Priestman’s planning application to change what is currently a deeply rural site to a semi urban space with six dwellings. How can it be that a planning officer who advised the applicant at pre-planning stage can disregard more than 100 local objections and representations?
It would appear there’s no support for a community like ours in this situation unless we can raise tens of thousands and take it to judicial review.
