TWO cars were involved in a crash on the A49 near Leominster. 

Emergency services were called to Hope-under-Dinmore, near Queenswood Country Park & Arboretum. at around 4.40pm yesterday (January 21).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "A paramedic officer was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered two cars had been involved in a collision.

"A man, who was the driver of one of the cars, was assessed by ambulance staff but did not wish to go to hospital and so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene."

A West Mercia Police spokesperson added: "We were called to the A49 near Dimore shortly after 4.40pm yesterday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision. 

"Nobody was seriously injured and no arrests were made."

The crash caused the road to be partially blocked both ways, causing traffic delays. 

It was later cleared, with traffic flowing as normal.
