THE recent article and letters about the so called ‘threat’ of immigration ‘ brings to the surface the fears and prejudices of many people.

I live in West Sussex, an equally rural area to Herefordshire where there are few if any immigrants other than Londoners.

The main concerns of those that seek to blame immigration on all our problems stem from years of failing to build enough houses, nil growth, too few doctors etc – all down to residents voting in the last 13 years for the Tories who have the avowed intention to reduce the public sector and marketise everything.

Before blaming immigrants voters need to consider the consequences of their actions.
