DRIVERS have been seen flouting road closures to drive through heavy floods in Herefordshire, despite signs being put in place.
Dozens of vehicles were seen navigating through deep floodwaters on the A4103 at the bottom of Aylestone Hill in Hereford this morning (January 4).
The road and roundabout are heavily flooded and were closed this morning by Balfour Beatty.

Last night, several vehicles were seen breaking down and becoming stranded at the roundabout after attempting to navigate the floods, but this and the road closure has not put drivers off.
A Lugg Valley bus was also seen broken down at the roundabout this morning, apparently having driven from the Sutton St Nicholas direction, which is also closed by heavy flooding.

The drivers seen navigating the closed road at Aylestone are not the only ones, with several becoming stranded across the county over the past few days.
Yesterday (January 3), drivers were seen ignoring a road closure in Holme Lacy Road in Hereford, where cars had already become stranded in deep floodwater.
A Hereford Times reporter was on scene while a rescue mission was launched to haul a broken-down taxi from the flood, while a Zzoomm van was seen making its way through the road closure.
The Zzoomm van managed to successfully make it through the water.
Many other drivers were also seen ignoring the road closure signs further up the road to drive to the flood, most turning around on coming to the water.
