I AM pleased to see that Jesse Norman MP abstained from the vote on his government’s abhorrent Rwanda Bill during its recent passage through Parliament (How your MP voted on this week’s Rwanda Bill, December 14).

Unlike most of his Conservative colleagues, who exhibited a distinct lack of moral courage, he did the right thing.
We should all remember the words of John F Kennedy “The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened”.
