A NEW tattoo parlour has opened up in a Herefordshire town and is already reaping the benefits.

Astral Ink, run by Loren Hodgson and Steph Austin, moved from a private studio in Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire to a much larger premises in Ross-on-Wye’s Croft Court Shopping Centre back in October.

The unit, which was previously an Escape to the Great Outdoors shop, has been refitted and tastefully redecorated with minimalist, oriental-inspired décor.

Since moving to the town, the pair have experienced a huge increase in footfall and are now having to take bookings months in advance, they say.

They also found that the location was easier to access for many of their repeat clients, even their customers from further afield preferred travelling to Ross-on-Wye due to its wealth of shops, cafés and eateries.

“We wanted to be part of a community,” said Loren Hodgson.

“It’s so nice not to be so isolated.

“We’ve already made good friends with our neighbours, they look out for us.

“Everyone is absolutely lovely.

“We both love it.”
