DO you have something to say about life in Herefordshire?

Perhaps you have a particular insight into issues that affect you or people like you.

If so, you could be a columnist for the Hereford Times.

Our popular Talking Points page is already a platform for many opinions.

But we want to broaden the range of voices we publish and are especially keen to hear from those who feel they can write clearly and persuasively for under-represented sections of society.

You may be coping with disabilities or health concerns. You may have something to say about race, gender or social class. You may want to write about elderly people, young people, or families struggling to cope with the cost of living. You may simply feel different to most people and have something to say that will help others understand.

The key thing is that have a message to get across, and that you can put your thoughts and feelings into words that can be understood by others.

You will also need to commit to contributing a column for publication regularly (though it will not be every week). It will also be of an agreed word-count and must be submitted via email.

If you have an idea for a column, or would like more details, email the editor, John Wilson: john.wilson@newsquest.co.uk
