A HEREFORDSHIRE Post Office has spoken out over rumours that it is set to close. 

The Post Office is set in the town's Church Street and offers the town, which no longer has a bank, a variety of services including banking, travel services including currency, bill payment services, DVLA services, and more.

A spokesperson for Bromyard Post Office said it had come to their attention that there have been rumours circulating in Bromyard and surrounding villages about the potential closure of the town's Post Office.

"We want to assure our community that these rumours are entirely unfounded, and we have no plans or intentions to close down," the spokesperson said in a message to customers.

"We want to emphasise that our commitment to serving the local community and the surrounding villages remains steadfast. We take pride in being a vital part of this community, and your continued trust and support are of utmost importance to us.

The spokesperson said the source of the rumours is unknown to them, but that they are "actively investigating" how and where they originated. 

"We look forward to continuing to meet your postal needs for years to come," the spokesperson said.
