AN ABUSIVE Hereford man will be sentenced next month after a string of incidents in Leominster.
Jack Smalley entered a guilty plea to two counts of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, one count of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence, and one count of obstructing or resisting a constable when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in November.

The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 26-year-old had used threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a man and a woman harassment, alarm, or distress, and with intent to cause them to fear that violence would be used against them or to provoke violence in Leominster on September 25.
He had resisted a police officer in the execution of her duties in the town on the same date, the court heard.
He had also used threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause another woman harassment, alarm, or distress in Hereford on August 26, magistrates were told.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service and Smalley, of Marlbrook Road, Hereford, was released on unconditional bail.
He will appear before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on December 15.
