A LONG-ESTABLISHED Herefordshire shop has permanently closed its doors after decades of serving customers.

The Four Seasons hardware shop in Drapers Lane, Leominster, has been in the town for over 30 years, but shut its doors for the final time on October 28 last month.

In the weeks leading up to the closure the store had been selling off its remaining stock at discounts of up to 50 per cent in an attempt to clear shelves, and a touching collage of images of the shop throughout the years has appeared in one of the windows.

People have taken to social media to express their sadness, with Theresa Mann saying: “The very best to you in whatever follows. You will be missed. Big thanks from us.”

“Oh boy. End of an era. I will, we will, the town will really miss you guys,” said Jayne Richards.

Since Four Seasons was Leominster’s only independent hardware shop, Leominster locals will now have to go to chain outlets such as B&Q in Mill Street, the J Mart in Burgess Street or the Tradepoint in Mill Street to buy tools, implements, and other home improvement items.
