PICTURES taken by Hereford Times Camera Club members show the scale of flooding in the county over the last few days.

Levels on the Wye, Lugg, Arrow and Teme were very high, with fire crews having to respond to hundreds of calls.

One man was stuck in his vehicle at Fishmore, just over the Herefordshire border near Ludlow, stranded in huge volumes of floodwater.

These pictures were captured by Lee Newman on the A49 north of Herefordshire.

Some alerts have been lifted, although a flood warning remains for the river Teme at Leintwardine and Walford.

More rain is expected today (Sunday, October 22), but it is unlikely to be as heavy as what we have seen recently.

The Met Office says: "Sunday promises to be a drier and brighter day than of late. The odd shower is expected, alongside lighter winds. Temperatures around the seasonal average."

Showers will also arrive from the south on Monday, October 23.
