A HEREFORDSHIRE pub has been crowned as one of the best in the world.

The Oak Inn at Staplow has recently won a Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice award, meaning it is within the top 10 per cent of properties on the website.

A spokesperson for the pub said: “Team Oak have done it again.

“We've been awarded a 2023 TripAdvisor Travellers Choice award, a huge thank you to you for making it happen and of course our wonderful team Oak colleagues.

“This special honour is awarded to the top 10 per cent worldwide in their category based on reviews and ratings collected over the past 12 months. So, it’s decided by yourselves and is a reflection of the consistency and quality of Team Oak.”

The pub has a 4.5 out of 5 rating on the website and is ranked as the number one restaurant in Ledbury.

One Tripadvisor reviewer said: “What a superb country pub this is.

“Staff were friendly and attentive towards us and Heather looked after us like we were royalty.

“Excellent draught beers to be had, the Timothy Taylor was spot on.

"Food was outstanding with quick service.

“The atmosphere in the pub was relaxing and I would recommend if you are visiting the area."

This award comes amongst a spate of successes for the pub, with the Oak Inn having also appeared in the Good Beer Guide 2024 produced by CAMRA, which surveys 4,500 of the best pubs across the UK.
