British Cycling Ambassador and para-cyclist track world champion, Daphne Schrager will also be popping along on the day, while you can also take part in a cycling challenge where every lap completed earns you a gift.

The track is managed by Halo Leisure, who also look after the neighbouring athletics track and sports pitches set within Hereford Racecourse.

Work started last January, with Sport England covering the lion's share of the bill. Other contributions have come from Herefordshire Council, Hereford City Council and British Cycling. Last weekend, staff members at Lion tried out the new track ahead of its opening.
