STALLS were sold out as Hereford's vegan market made a return this month.

Held in partnership with Hereford Vegan Events, the event was held in Maylord Orchards Trinity Square, Gomond Street, Commercial Street and Hereford High Town on Sunday, September 17.

There was an array of over 20 stalls including the Jam Factory, Mariachi’s Kitchen and Rocket Café.

A spokesperson for Maylord Orchards said: “It was the first vegan event since 2020 and the public took to it well.”

“We had a mix of food, drinks, crafts and charity stalls.

“We had really good footfall, lots of the food stall holders had sold out by the end of the day.

Hereford Times:

“The weather held out, plenty of people were sat outside eating.

“There was a good vibe. A really chilled, nice atmosphere. It was a very nice day.

“We had an all in all good response and we definitely want to put on some more vegan events in the future.”

The future of Maylord Orchards itself remains uncertain with Herefordshire Council pausing plans for it to house a new city library and Wilko, one of its largest shops, at risk of closure.
