A police cordon and scene guard is in place outside the house in Fallowfield Close, off Home Lane, this afternoon (August 20).

A Hereford fire engine and a West Midlands Fire and Rescue service fire dogs car could also be seen outside the house this afternoon.

A Hereford and Worcester Fire Service spokesperson said crews were called to reports of a house fire at the property in south Hereford just before 1am.

The fire is now out, but the fire service has returned to the scene to carry out an investigation this afternoon, the spokesperson said.
