A PILOT was was airlifted to hospital after his glider crashed in the Black Mountains near Herefordshire.
Emergency services were called to the Talgarth area of the mountains shortly after 1.50pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Longtown Mountain Rescue Team (LMRT) also attended after receiving a call from Dyfed-Powys Police.

On its Facebook page, LMRT said: "Also in attendance were our Wales Air Ambulance Charity colleagues who treated the pilot for their injuries and transported them to hospital.
"The glider is located on a footpath. We would ask anyone that does come across the glider in the Black Mountains to leave the site undisturbed.
"The accident has been reported to the police and relevant authorities. We wish the pilot a speedy recovery."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We sent an emergency ambulance and an operations manager to the scene, where crews were also supported by Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service colleagues in an air ambulance.
“One person was flown to the Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran.”
