TWO-WAY traffic lights are to be placed along a busy Hereford road for a month from next week due to gas work.

The Whitecross Road Gas Renewal Scheme will start from Monday (July 24) with the work not expected to finish until August 18.

It is being carried out by Cadent, who will be working in Baggalley Street from July 24 to August 4.

Further gas work will then take place in White Horse Street from August 7 to August 18.

Both affected roads will be closed while work is taking place.

With major work taking place in Roman Road from July 31, it means that two main roads in Hereford will have temporary traffic lights for three weeks.
