A YOUNG businesswoman has set up her own dessert company after initially making 60 cheesecakes to commemorate her late father's 60th birthday.

Davina Ralph opened 'That Cheesecake Girl' in Fromes Hill, off the A4103 Hereford to Worcester Road, earlier this month.

The shop sells slices or whole cheesecakes, waffles, soft serve ice creams, and other sweet treats.

The 22-year-old said: "It all all started by making 60 cheesecakes in 2021 to commemorate my late father David's 60th birthday.

OTHER NEWS:

"I made 60 cheesecakes between January 1 and April 23, 2021 with all profits going to The Well Counselling in Malvern, whom I had bereavement counselling with.

"After this, I found there was a business out there for cheesecakes, and this year took the leap of following a childhood dream, and gave it a go.

"Since opening, we have been selling out of cheesecakes most days so we advise arriving early to avoid disappointment.

"With the help of my mum (Julia Ralph) and my brother (Nigel Ralph) giving their support, I have been able to turn a dream of having a dessert shop in to a reality."

That Cheesecake Girl, situated at the top of Fromes Hill, by the Army tank, is opened from 10am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, apart from a Tuesday.
