IT’S not only Herefordshire Council that can provide allotments (Calls growing for gardening space, May 11).
Leominster Town Council runs a popular allotment site with over 100 plots of different sizes.
The only statutory duty that parish and town councils have is to consider requests from residents to provide allotments.

So, go ahead everyone and ask your local parish or town council.
Even if your parish council can’t help immediately, they can choose to investigate options, make a budget provision for next year and raise the precept if needed.
Happy growing!
