A BMW driver was caught in possession of drugs after police were called to an overnight crash on a busy Herefordshire main road.
Officers from Herefordshire's Operations Patrol Unit were called to the busy A44 at Steens Bridge, between Leominster and Bromyard, last night.

A spokesperson for the team said this morning (May 3) that they found on arrival that a car had left the road, crashing into a telegraph pole.
The driver was asked to take a roadside drug wipe test, which returned a positive result for cocaine, and was also found to be in possession of class A drugs, officers said.
No other cars were involved in the crash, which saw the BMW convertible suffer heavy front-end damage, while the telegraph pole was sheared off.
