I SEE that Ellie Chowns is claiming, without examples and justification, that Labour and the Conservatives are running a campaign of misinformation in the local election campaign (Clean election, April 6).
I cannot speak for the Conservatives, but on behalf of myself and my fellow Labour candidates I totally refute this and challenge her to give examples from our campaign literature.
In fact, the most blatant example of misinformation that I have seen recently was from Ellie herself when she claimed that she and the Greens would dislodge Sir Bill Wiggin from his North Herefordshire seat at the next general election (Greens see Herefordshire local election gains boosting Parliament bid).

She neglected to say that the Greens were fourth in this constituency in 2017 and 2019 well behind the Conservatives, Labour and Liberals.
Neither, when she referenced the Hereford and South Herefordshire seat, did she mention that the Greens lost their deposit in 2019.
