A HEREFORDSHIRE man has been fined by magistrates after being found guilty of affray after an incident in Hereford.

George Dima appeared before magistrates in Hereford in February accused of one count of affray.

The court heard from prosecutor Paul John that the 27-year-old had used or threatened unlawful violence towards other persons and that his conduct was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for their personal safety in Hereford on September 11, 2021.

He was found guilty of the charge by magistrates on the day of the hearing.

Dima, of Thornbury, near Bromyard, was fined £800 for the offence.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £630 and an £80 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
