A HEREFORD man has been banned from the roads after driving without due care and attention on a busy main road.
Dahat Rasoul appeared before magistrates in Lincoln for sentencing after he was convicted of one count of driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or public place without due care and attention at an earlier hearing.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 20-year-old had been caught driving a Volkswagen Polo on the A17 Heckington bypass in Sleaford without due care and attention on November 27, 2021.

He had entered a not guilty plea to the charge at an initial hearing on May 20, 2022, and was proven guilty of the offence in his absence at a further hearing on December 19, the court was told.
Rasoul, who is of Barrs Court Road in Hereford, was fined £200 for the offence, received six penalty points, and was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months, with magistrates saying disqualification was obligatory due to repeat offending.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £300 and a £34 victim surcharge.
