A WOMAN has been sent for trial after denying failing to comply with road markings and the speed limit on the A49 in Herefordshire.

Sarah Ward entered not guilty pleas to charges of failing to comply with a solid white line and exceeding 60 miles per hour on a single carriageway to magistrates in Worcester.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 21-year-old is accused of failing to comply with the indication given by a solid white line on the A49 at Leominster in Herefordshire while she was behind the wheel of a Mercedes A160 on September 10 last year.

She is also accused of driving the Mercedes at a speed exceeding 60 miles per hour on the A49 at Leominster on the same date.

The case was sent for trial and Ward, who is of Osborne Place in Leominster, will appear before magistrates in Worcester on March 20.
