A FAMILY has paid tribute to their dedicated nurse daughter after her battle with cancer.

Nurse Deborah Ann Harper, née Jenkins, a former Fownhope C of E Primary and Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School pupil, died in Bournemouth after an eight-year battle with cancer.

The dedicated nurse had attended Hereford Sixth Form College before going on to study nursing in Hereford, her father Anthony Jenkins said.

Mrs Harper, who lived in Bournemouth at the time of her death, was a keen walker, and loved concerts and "anything to do with the sea", her family said.

A much-loved daughter, she was devoted to her husband Dale, and will be remembered for her nursing career, and love of wild birds and animals.

She will be cremated in Bournemouth on February 17, with a memorial service to be held at St Paul's Church in Hampton Dene, Hereford, at 12 noon and refreshments at the Bunch of Carrots in Hampton Bishop after.
