A BAR in Malvern is all set to become the town's newest wedding venue.

Bar Limon, in Church Street, applied to host weddings last month after guests told them the space would be ideal.

Owner Lucy Dunlop and her team are celebrating after finding out their application has been a success, meaning they can now start hosting weddings.

She said: "This is really exciting - it means that we can offer Bar Limón as a complete marriage package - from legally tying the knot, eating and drinking and celebrating all in one place.

"We can cater for around 70 guests and tailor the occasion to whatever takes your fancy.

"Our primary package offers an option where you can get married and celebrate without spending a fortune.

"However, you can always look to add on extras such as a Sangria Bar or have a champagne tea."

She added that the bar would also look to cater for quirky and unconventional weddings, working with a number of suppliers from across the region to allow for different needs.

Lucy said: "We have a fabulous Elvis who can serenade you as you walk down the aisle.

"We’ve already had enquiries about double weddings, garden weddings and winter weddings - we are thrilled to be able to help people celebrate one of the most important days in their lives."

Worcestershire Regulatory Services carried out a site visit and saw no reason not to allow Bar Limon to become a wedding venue.

The registrar who carried out the test apparently said it would be "the most unique wedding venue in Worcestershire."

Bar Limon hosted a wedding fayre last weekend, which allowed suppliers to come and show off their services.

Located inside what was Clark's shoe shop, Bar Limon opened last August.

It achieved a five-star food hygiene rating
