POLICE are searching for a black VW Golf after multiple sheds were broken into in a Herefordshire village.

West Mercia police said officers had received numerous reports of shed break in's that happened on Sunday evening (October 23) in the Tillington area, close to Tillington Common.

Numerous sheds have either been broken in to or an attempt has been made.

Police estimate that this has happened sometime between 9pm and 10pm.

A black VW Golf, with two males inside, was seen a little bit earlier on in the evening parked up on the side of Tillington Road near to St Marys Park, Burghill, said a West Mercia police spokesperson.

The same vehicle was then spotted close to Tillington Common not long before the estimated time of the shed breaks, but nothing had been stolen.

Hereford Safer Neighbourhood Team are increasing patrols in the area over the next few weeks.

But police are asking people to make sure that sheds and outbuildings are secure as possible and to remain vigilant.
