RESTAURANTS and takeaways in Herefordshire's market towns feature strongly on the list of TripAdvisor’s best-rated Chinese eateries in the county.
We have looked at the top five, as reviewed by TripAdvisor users:
1. New Lucky House
Tripadvisor rating: 4.5 out of 5
Set in Holmer street, 36 of New Lucky House’s 49 reviewers rate the Chinese takeaway as excellent or very good.
“We always phone our order through and it's ready when we get there,” wrote Michael-4551.
“The meals are always great and reasonably priced, what more do you want.”

3 . New Jasmine House
New Jasmine House in Credenhill
Tripadvisor rating: 4.5 out of 5
Set in the Herefordshire village of Credenhill, the New Jasmine House has hit the right notes for many diners, with 79 of its 105 TripAdvisor reviewers rating it excellent or very good.
“All the staff were friendly, and the service was prompt. Food was delicious, well cooked and plenty of vegetables included in the dishes. A great atmosphere,” wrote ChristinaB3423.
“If you are going out for a meal now covid restrictions have relaxed please consider this family run restaurant instead of a chain.”
3. New Chop Suey Bar
Tripadvisor rating: 4 out of 5
This chinese takeaway is set close to Hereford's city centre in Eign Street, next to the well used Whitecross Road.
Out of 20 reviewers 14 said it was excellent and three said it was terrible.
"My family and I Love this chinese,we have been a regular now for about 20 plus years," wrote Helz2190.
"Nowhere compares to this place. Lovely people that run it too. Keep up the excellent standard."
4. New Canton House
Tripadvisor rating: 4 out of 5
Set in Bridge Street, 18 of New Lucky House’s 23 reviewers rate the Chinese takeaway as excellent or very good.
"Truly the best Chinese takeaway in Hereford," wrote PoppyRose4567.
"Sad they don’t do delivery but I will never get from anywhere else. Been here for years and even servered my mum when she was 20, and now I am! Very good prices too Please never close!"
5. Summer Palace Chinese Takeaway
Tripadvisor rating: 4 out of 5
Summer Palace can be found in Hereford's Widemarsh Street, next to many other takeaways offering different cuisines.
Out of 56 reviewers 39 rated it excellent or very good.
"We have eaten Chinese food from several take aways in Hereford," wrote DarlingM677.
"The man who took my order over the phone was friendly and kind. The food was delivered swiftly and was hot and delicious. Quality and fresh!
"We also ordered wings and ribs for appetisers. They were fabulous!
"Summer palace is now our first choice for Chinese take away."
