AN ABUSIVE Hereford man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after harassing a woman.

Avis Vasiljevs entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Kidderminster.

The court heard the 41-year-old had pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman in Hereford, using abusive words to her on at least 10 occasions between May 1 and September 11.

OTHER NEWS:

Vasiljevs, of Cornwall Street, Hereford, was handed a 12-month restraining order banning him from contacting the victim and a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work.
