TWO Hereford companies have picked up conservation awards in a city ceremony.
Woodbury Park Ltd collected an award for the H&M development in the centre of Hereford.
They were praised for preserving the shop fronts and character of the Commercial Street frontage and the contemporary design of Union Street, which all adds to the quality and character of the city centre.
The work of designers Glazzards Architects Ltd, who worked on the project, was also praised.
RRA Architects were presented with an award for their work on The Watershed in Wye Street.
The event venue was described as an innovative use of an old building in an historic setting with good quality, detailed design.
The awards, in the form of cast iron plaques, were given out by Councillor Chris Chappell, the Mayor of Hereford, at Hereford Town Hall.
