THE Queen's funeral will be screened in Herefordshire's market towns on Monday (September 19) as people have a bank holiday to partake in the national day of mourning. 

Buckingham Palace confirmed the Queen died peacefully on Thursday, September 8, at 6.30pm in Balmoral Castle, in Scotland. 

It has officially been announced that the Queen’s funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday, September 19 at 11am.

Prior to the funeral, the Queen will lie in state for “four clear days” in Westminster Hall from Wednesday, September 14, a senior palace official said.

Hereford

Hogarths

Hogarth will be opening at 10am, it will be shown on all screens with full commentary.

Loft Cinema

The Loft Cinema have decided to screen Her Majesty The Queen's State Funeral on bank holiday Monday, September 19, at 11am.

"We would like to convey our deepest sympathy to The Royal Family at this time of national mourning," said a spokesperson.

"Whether you are unable to watch at home, or would just prefer to watch in company, we invite our extended Loft family to watch together with us and join in paying our respects.

"This will be free, but we do ask that you please pre-book sofas for the auditorium - it will also be screening in the Lounge where booking is not required.

Drinks and food will be available but sofas can be reserved here.

Ross-on-Wye

There will be a Special Commemorative Service for Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth the Second at St Mary’s Church at 7pm on Sunday, September 18. All are welcome to attend.

St Mary’s Church will be live streaming the State Funeral on Monday, September 19, should anyone wish to attend.

Bromyard

The Conquest Theatre, in Bromyard, will be showing the funeral. 

Doors will open from 10am.

"Don't be alone on this momentous occasion, come and share with your friends and others and see the funeral, with the procession afterwards, live on our big cinema screen," said a spokesperson.

Ledbury

Ledbury Methodist Church will be open for anyone who would like to be able to watch the funeral of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II with others, on Monday, September 19, from 10am.

This will replace its usual Place of Welcome.

The funeral will be shown on a large screen downstairs, with an overflow upstairs, if needed.

"Please do come along, or let others know we will be open," said a spokesperson.

Golden Valley

On Monday Casa Lupo Restaurant and Bar, in Peterchurch, open at 10.30am so that people, if they wish, can watch Her Majesty’s funeral together.

They will be serving free tea and coffee and buttered scones.
