Rail companies serving Herefordshire have told people not to travel as the summer industrial action continues.

No trains will run from Hereford on any of the three train operators serving the county either tomorrow (Thursday, August 18) or Saturday, August 20

Great Western Railway services between London and Hereford are to be cancelled on both strike days.

No West Midlands Trains services will run on either day between Hereford and Birmingham.

RELATED NEWS:

Both operators are advising that services running early on Friday, August 19, and Sunday, August 21 may also be disrupted due to trains being in the wrong place overnight.

Meanwhile, Transport for Wales (TFW) have warned against travelling on the network unless absolutely necessary from today until August 22.

The operator is not involved in the dispute but will be unable to operate rail services on Network Rail infrastructure while workers are on strike.

OTHER NEWS:

On August 18 and 20 the TFW advice is that there will be "very limited rail service, do not travel by train", including no trains at all through Hereford.

Services on August 19 and 21 are also expected to be severely affected and will be "extremely busy" due to the cancellations on Thursday and Saturday.
