A HEREFORD woman charged has appeared in court after being charged with attempted murder.
Samantha Smith, of Waterfield Road in Hereford, was charged after an incident in the nearby Rothesay Mead on Sunday (July 3).

The 55-year-old was arrested after police were called to reports of a serious assault at a home in the Newton Farm street.
Smith appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Monday and has been remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on August 8.

Police said the victim, a 59-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Police initially said he was in a critical condition, but have since said he is stable.
