A HEREFORDSHIRE nursing home has been recognised with a national award.
The John Sperry Memorial Unit at Lynhales Hall Nursing Home in Kington, Herefordshire, has announced it has won the ‘Best for Specialist Care’ award at the Care Home Awards 2022.
The national annual awards recognise excellence and innovation in care home operations and management.
Exceptional specialist care is given to residents at the John Sperry Memorial Unit who live with varying types of Dementia and other mental health conditions.
The winners were unveiled in a prestigious lunchtime ceremony on the 1st July at the Royal Garden Hotel in London, presented by Alan Dedicoat. Team members from the care home’s operator, Rotherwood Healthcare, attended the event.
Regional manager Cheryl Walne collected the award and said: “We are thrilled that the John Sperry Unit has been recognised for its commitment to providing exceptional specialist care. There is sharp focus on continuity of care, ensuring deep familiarity between residents and carers. The care team are continually developing techniques unique to each individual residents’ needs. We look forward to celebrating with the team.”
