A SPEEDER has escaped a roads ban after he was caught breaking the limit on a busy Hereford main road.
Alan Wilkins, 54, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard Wilkins had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Volkswagen in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A465 Belmont Road in Hereford on October 10.
Wilkins, of Grovers Road, Pontypridd, was fined £100, received three penalty points, and must pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.
No totting disqualification was made because, magistrates heard, this would affect his ability to spend time with and give driving lessons to a family member and would have a financial effect on family members as he is responsible for mortgage and maintenance payments.
