I SEE that the latest bright idea from the council is to further tax the county’s motorists to the tune of £100,000 to add to their coffers.

So not only do we have roads that are not fit for purpose and a record number of potholes, we are now going to have to pay more to park our cars as well as put up with increased surveillance over their use.

RELEVANT NEWS:

This failing coalition council really seems not to understand that this is a rural county where many of us rely on our cars to get on with our lives.

As if other cost rises in the cost of living were not enough, we are to be burdened with further taxation to support the council’s profligate ways.

Time to get rid of this lot and have a council that understands the people it serves, and provides services to meet their needs.
