A road in a Herefordshire town centre is to close for nearly two weeks
A ROAD in a Herefordshire town centre is set to close for 12 days for gas main works, Herefordshire Council has said.
In a public notice, the council said Churchill Avenue in Leominster would be shut for 12 days from July 11.
The notice said that it will be closed between George Street and Gateway Lane.
The diversion for the work will be via Gateway Lane onto Croft street onto Churchill Avenue and vice versa.
The council said the closure will be required due to ga main works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place.
