A HEREFORDSHIRE thief will appear for sentencing next month after admitting several charges.

Tyrone George Ellis entered pleas to five charges when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard the 20-year-old had stolen a Lexmoto LXR motorcycle worth £2,500 in Hereford between May 17 and 18, using it in Cooks Lane, Kingstone, without insurance or a licence on May 19.

He had also stolen a numberplate from a vehicle belonging to another person in Hereford on May 18 and assaulted a police officer acting in the course of her duties by beating in Hereford on May 20.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out, and Ellis, who is of The Bines, Clehonger, will appear before Hereford magistrates for sentencing on June 13.
