A HEREFORDSHIRE journalism student has been rewarded for her hard work and dedication in her first year at the University of Worcester.
Emma Davies, who commutes every day from her home near Leominster, is studying Journalism and digital media production at the University, based in the St John's area of the city.
She has been named student of the year for her course as part of the university's student awards for 2022 held on Tuesday May 17.

Miss Davies won the award for consistency and progress throughout the year and achieving a grade A in her recent law and ethics exam.
She was also rewarded for her attendance and participation in the newsroom and with group discussions, and her ability to source stories and contact people to interview with confidence.
Miss Davies said: "I am really enjoying the course and it's really bringing me out of my shell.
"Journalism is a really interesting subject and I am looking forward to learning more and to hopefully develop towards a career in the industry."
