A TECHNOLOGY charity is working together with Herefordshire freemasons to bring the outside world in for children with life-limiting conditions in the county.

Lifelites is a national charity which gives life-limited and disabled children using hospice services across the British Isles the chance to play, be creative, control something for themselves and communicate, through assistive technology.

The virtual-reality technology gives the kids opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have to join in with the world around them, irrespective of their disabilities.

OTHER NEWS:

The charity recently held a photoshoot with Herefordshire Freemasons at Hereford Cathedral to highlight the needs of children with life-limiting conditions using hospice services and the value that life-changing technology can add to their lives.

These were part of a wider campaign highlighting the ongoing support of Freemasons in many parts of the country for its work.

Herefordshire Freemasons donated £2,000 earlier this year to support Lifelites' work in Herefordshire.

Lifelites chief executive Rob Lightfoot said: "We are proud to work with the Herefordshire Freemasons and our hospice partners to ensure that children with life-limiting conditions across Herefordshire are given the very best respite and end of life experiences.

"We recognise the power of technology for good and how the digital revolution may hold the keys for a better quality of life for the children we support."
