A COMPANY with its headquarters in Hereford is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

HALCO Europe is one of Europe's leading "hook and loop" companies, a reclosable fastener similar to Velcro.

The firm which makes the reclosable fasteners has offices and warehouses across Europe, but the HQ is in Rotherwas.

A spokesperson said there is a family culture at the heart of HALCO, with chairman Nigel Haughton and his four sons are vitally involved in the business.

They all have a forward-thinking ethos and ensure the original values are upheld 20 years after it was taken over.

As a family-run company, HALCO has incorporated an enthused internal culture, and say it is serious about providing products of the best quality, proud to hold ISO9001, an international standard.

As well as that, the firm has also worked hard to obtain the OEKO-TEX logo on approved products.

"This certifies that every thread has been tested and proven free of harmful levels of toxic substances," the firm said.

"HALCO are a proud supporter of many local and international charities and we regularly hold internal events for fundraising, most recent being an event to support the DEC efforts in Ukraine.

"We are very proud to be celebrating our 20th year in Hereford, in a fantastic location on the Rotherwas estate surrounded by other flourishing local businesses and will continue to work hard for our customers in providing excellent service and products from the heart of Hereford."
