For all the families looking for fun and inexpensive ways to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays, here are a couple of free activities happening in Hereford city centre that the whole family can enjoy.

Hereford City Life, an arm of Hereford Business Improvement District which represents shops, has teamed up with local businesses to deliver activities in the city centre that can be appreciated by all ages.

Bunny's eggcellent adventure trail

Hosted on Herefordshire Council's LoyalFree app, this interactive trail follows the journey of the Easter Bunny who lost the eggs in his Easter basket when he was visiting local shops and restaurants.

Using the app, the goal is to track down all the locations he visited to see if you can spot the missing eggs.

Scan the codes at those locations and go to the final destination, Hereford Tourist Information Centre, at Hereford's Town Hall to be able to redeem a chocolate Easter Egg as your prize for completing the trail.

Bunny's eggcellent adventure trail runs from Monday, April 11 to Sunday, April 24.

Easter eggstravaganza workshop

For Easter Saturday, 16 April, Hereford City Life have worked with Hereford businesses Make-it Happen Creative Dreams and Löv Leaf Plant nursery, to deliver a day of craft workshops.

Children of all ages can enjoy making colourful woven eggs in the easter egg-stravaganza workshop, while adults can try their hand at making macrame keyrings.

These workshops run from 11am to 3pm and are completely free. Booking is recommended.

Megan Christy, marketing executive for Hereford City Life, said: "These new Easter activities are a great way for both locals and tourists to have fun with their families during the holidays.

"It is rewarding to be work with so many fantastic Hereford businesses as we bring these great activities to life and encourage visitors into the city centre."
