A statement on the Bulls website said: “Following positive Covid cases for Brandon Hall and Andreas Sondergaard we’ve been granted special dispensation by the National League to make an emergency goalkeeper loan signing. Grimsby Town have kindly agreed to lend Ollie Battersby to enable us to play today’s game at Blyth.

“Our thanks go to Grimsby for facilitating this at short notice.

“Ollie joined Grimsby at under-nines level and played through until under-15s before joining Sheffield United. He then rejoined the Mariners as a scholar last season.

“The goalkeeper, who has excellent distribution and deals with crosses well, has represented their reserve team regularly since re-joining the club last season.”
